Run for Rockinghorse
Rockinghorse has a number of places available for the first ever Brighton Marathon, which is set to take place on 18 April 2010. The Sussex charity will be offering its runners a great deal of support in the lead up to the race and has organised two training days, where professionals will be on-hand to give participants top tips before the big day. There will also be a Rockinghorse post-race reception for the sprinters to celebrate their achievement amongst friends and family. All money raised goes towards making life better for sick children in Sussex. Switchboard seeking counsellors
Brighton & Hove LGBT Switchboard is seeking male volunteer counsellors qualified to at least diploma level.
Interested counsellors are asked to contact the Services and Development Manager (Natalie Woods) for further information and an application form on 01273 207050 or brighton.manager@switchbaord.org.uk.

NB. There is a genuine occupational requirement that counsellors volunteering for Brighton and Hove LGBT Switchboard’s counselling service identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or tans. Switchboard also has a current genuine occupational requirement for volunteer male qualified counsellors.
Brighton & Hove LGBT Switchboard's hate crime service
Brighton & Hove LGBT Switchboard has launched a new service offering support and reporting options to victims of LGBT hate crimes. Switchboard can report the crime on the victim’s behalf - including anonymously if required - and provides full support via the help-line and counselling service to all victims. Whether you want to report an incident, or simply need someone to talk to, call 01273 204050 between 5-11pm (everyday).
