A Dark Day in Paradise by Clare Twomey 3,000 black ceramic butterflies descend on the sumptuous interiors of the Royal Pavilion. The butterflies cluster on the extravagant Banqueting Room table, across window panes, in roof lights, on mantelpieces and other surfaces throughout the ground floor rooms. Their sombre beauty is a reflection on the excesses and frivolity of the past life of the palace. |

Rewind - 80s vs 90s pop hits, dance classics and indie anthems. Brightons new 80s and 90s night launches on Tuesday 28th September and continues every Tuesday, at the Concorde 2. Take a trip back in time to the decades of pop excess, bad mullets and dayglo fashion. The venue will be undergoing a retro refit, with a Club Tropicana cocktail and karaoke bar serving 80s cocktails while you sing along to your favourite hits on our 5 metre karaoke screen. In the main room our resident djs will be playing a heady mix of 80s and 90s pop and dance anthems, with very special guests from back in the day and covers bands of the artists who didn't survive. Rewind your pleasure sensors with our SNES games stations, Space hoppers, giant inflatables and club decor. There will be free drinks and prizes or the best fancy dress and we have our own fancy dress stall to get your mullets and 80s/90s club outfits from. So get your best 80s or 90s outfits on and get yourself down to Brighton's brand new night of classic tunes and pop madness.......! ! 18+ |

Girlyman Everythings Easy In 2009 the #1 selling album on CD Baby - thats no 1 of 278,510! Winners of the Independent Music Awards - Best USA Singer/Songwriters Imagine if the Indigo Girls got together with Paul Simon and created Peter, Paul and Mary - only sexier!! We are hugely proud to present the first UK tour by a band that are simply mindblowingly brilliant. Progressing from long-time stablemates of the Indigo Girls to major American headliners in their own right, Girlyman are the kind of band you just never want to leave the stage. Think Simon & Garfunkel, think Mamas and Papas, think I must be in heaven. Wonderful stuff and with a large fan base before they even set foot in the country this tour will undoubtedly be the first of many. |

The Country Girl is the powerful story of washed-up actor Frank Elgin, a desperate and demanding alcoholic who is offered a comeback chance to star in the next Broadway play by hotshot director Bernie Dodd. Believing the actor’s long-suffering wife Georgie is the reason for his decline, Bernie strikes up a stormy relationship with her - but in 1950s New York how far will a woman go to redeem the man she loves? |
